Brahmas are stately and densely feathered birds. They don't fly so wire enclosures need not be more than a metre high. Brahma hens sometimes start to lay from six months old and, although the number of eggs is modest, many birds will lay through the winter. Brahmas are docile, very quiet, and very friendly.
