Appenzeller Spitzhauben
Originally from the Swiss region of Appenzeller, the land below the Alpsten mountains, the word Spitzhauben translates as ‘pointed bonnet’ referring to the forward pointing crest of the head of both male and female birds.
Characteristics: The Appenzeller is a very hardy bird and an excellent forager, they are good flyers so require an avery type pen or complete free range.

Hatching eggs can also be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, packed in purpose made polystyrene boxes at the postage cost of £6 per half dozen.
