Dutch

The Dutch bantam was standardised in 1906 in Holland. Of all breeds of poultry, the dutch bantam best resembles the ancestor of them all, the Red Jungle Fowl. The first Dutch Bantams were imported into the UK in the 1960s and a club was formed in 1982.

They are active birds but not too flighty, popular as exhibition birds and pets.
