Houdan

Origin: The Houdan originates from Southern Normandy in France and were first known as Normandy Fowl, they arrived in Britain in about 1850.
 
Characteristics: The Houdan is a very active bird and is a good layer of large white eggs. Being a crested bird needs shelter from the rain and regular mite inspections.

Hatching eggs can also be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, packed in purpose made polystyrene boxes at the postage cost of £6 per half dozen.
