NEW HAMPSHIRE RED

Origin: This breed goes back to the early 20th century in the USA. Originally bred for eggs they have also proved to be a very good table bird, the plumage is a very rich chestnut colour.

Characteristics: The hens lay very well and the chicks are very quick to mature. They are very placid birds and easy to keep as they are happy free ranging.

Egg Colour: Light Brown
