Pekin (Bantam)
Pekin is a true bantam, there is no large fowl version. The Pekin was brought to Europe from China in 1866. Pekins were originally thought to be the bantam version of the Cochin but it was later decided that they were too many differences between the breeds for this to be the case. Pekins are a very pretty little bird, they have a good nature. They are adored by children, breeders and showmen alike.
