The bantam version is far more popular than the large fowl. Plymouth Rocks were introduced to Britain in 1856. They are very good foragers and easy to keep. They lay well.

Hatching eggs can also be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, packed in purpose made polystyrene boxes at the postage cost of £6 per half dozen.
