Silkie (Bantam)

The bantam Silkie is a quarter of the size of the larger version. The feathers of the Silkie have no webbing so they are soft and silky, more like hair. Silkies are easily contained as they don’t fly.

Characteristics: They make excellent broodies and mothers and are very friendly birds.

Hatching eggs can also be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, packed in purpose made polystyrene boxes at the postage cost of £6 per half dozen.
