SultanThe Sultan originally called ‘The Sultan’s fowl’ were introduced to England by Mrs Elizabeth Watts in the mid nineteenth century. This bird suffered near extinction in the early twentieth century but due to dedicated breeders survived.
Characteristics: Sultans are poor foragers, and do not thrive in cold conditions. They are best kept in small runs with plenty of shelter. Sultans are calm birds that are easy to handle. They are still considered a rare fowl.

Hatching eggs can also be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, packed in purpose made polystyrene boxes at the postage cost of £6 per half dozen.
