Sussex
The sussex fowl originated in the county of Sussex approximately 100 years ago. They were originally prized as table birds but they also lay around 250 eggs per year making them a very good dual purpose bird.
Characteristics: The sussex is a joy to keep as they are placid but excellent at taking care of itself. They are very adaptable birds, they do tend to go broody occasionally.

Hatching eggs can also be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, packed in purpose made polystyrene boxes at the postage cost of £6 per half dozen.
